Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the concrete sealer last?

It depends on the type of sealer used. For driveways, we use a high-quality penetrative sealer that typically lasts 5–7 years. Although, for topical, acrylic sealers that enhance concrete’s appearance or give it the “wet-look”, anywhere from 1-3 years.

What kind of sealer will you use for my driveway?

We use a penetrative sealer that binds deep into the substrate of the concrete. This creates long-lasting protection against moisture, stains, and surface wear—much more durable than surface-level sealers.

Do I need to clean my concrete before sealing?

Yes, proper cleaning is essential. We professionally clean the surface to ensure the sealer can fully bond to the concrete, which improves longevity and overall performance.

Why should I seal my concrete?

Sealing your concrete protects it from water intrusion, freeze-thaw damage, stains, and UV exposure. It also enhances the appearance of your surface and extends its lifespan.

How long does the cleaning and sealing process take?

Most residential projects, like driveways or patios, are completed within 1 to 2 days, depending on surface size and drying time between steps.

Will sealing make my concrete slippery?

Our standard sealer for driveways is penetrative and non-glossy, so it does not leave a slick or shiny surface. If we are sealing decorative concrete, we can apply a grip additive to avoid a slippery surface.

Can you seal stamped or decorative concrete?

Yes, of course! We offer sealing services for stamped, stained, or decorative concrete, and we use sealers specifically designed to protect and enhance those finishes.

How soon can I use my driveway after sealing?

It depends if we used a penetrating or a topical sealer. For a penetrating, it is usually okay to walk on 6 hours after sealer is applied, and okay to drive on after a day, although we recommend a bit more to be sure. For topical, it can take up to 2 days to fully dry for traffic.
